Warriors Host Lobos In Homecoming Game
The Warriors (1-4, 0-2 MW) have lost their last three games, including last Saturday's 52-14 setback to San Diego State, the tail-end of consecutive road games. UH is in dire need of a win, having lost its four games this season by a combined score of 217-48. Against the Aztecs last week, the Warriors fell behind early 35-7 at the half and could not catch up.
The Lobos (3-3, 0-1) evened its record following a 35-14 home win over Texas State. UNM attempted only three passes the entire game and finished with 361 net yards rushing. The Lobos rank eighth nationally in rushing, averaging 271.7 yards per game.
The teams have not met since 1998, when both were members of the Western Athletic Conference. UH leads the series 14-7, however, the Lobos have won the last four games in the series, including the last two at Aloha Stadium.
