ALOHA STADIUM PARKING GATES TO OPEN EARLY

Public is encouraged to arrive early and use alternate parking sites.

(AIEA, Hawai‘i) – The Lower Halawa parking gates will open at 10:30 a.m., while all other parking gates will open at 11:30 a.m. for the University of Hawai‘i vs. Boise State football game scheduled for Friday, Nov. 23, at Aloha Stadium, manager Scott Chan announced today.

“We are anticipating a lot of traffic since the game is sold out and falls on the Thanksgiving holiday,” Chan said. “The afternoon rush hour and holiday shoppers will also add to the congestion. We hope everyone will plan to get here as early as possible and the extra hours will help alleviate traffic surrounding the stadium. Our goal is to get as many vehicles off the road as quickly and safely as possible after we open, to prevent the traffic from building up as we get closer to kickoff.”

Parking gates at alternate parking sites (Ford Island, Leeward Community College, Kam Drive-In, Radford High School) will open at 11:30 a.m. Aloha Stadium turnstiles will open at 1:00 p.m.

Fans should also be aware of the tailgating policy and enforcement. Fans will be asked to take down tents and vacate unused parking stalls in order to fill all stalls with vehicles.
